Parents,

Our Christmas/Holiday Concert is next week! Here are the details of the concert. Please contact me if you have any questions at all. Just a reminder: Concerts count as 40% of the student’s grade, so they are required to be there! Absences may only be excused if the is illness that keeps them from school, or a family emergency. Transportation is not an excuse. If your student needs a ride to the concert, please let me know before Tuesday, and we will get it arranged.

Date: Tuesday, December 5, 2017

Time: 6:00 PM- I need the students to arrive at these times:

·  Everyone needs to be there by 5:00 pm so we can run through our finale song as well as a where you will be sitting during the concert. The auditorium doors will open for seating to the audience NO LATER than 5:30.

The concert will start promptly at 6:00. This is a change from our previous concerts. Students must stay for the entire concert unless arrangements have been made otherwise with Mrs. Hamil in advance. We will also be combining with the Bonham 5th graders for this performance so getting there early to find a seat is advised, as there will be more audience members because of the extra performers.

Place: Johnson Street Church of Christ (map below) 2200 Johnson St, San Angelo

Uniform:

·  1st, 5th and 8th periods: Blue choir POLO and jeans (no holes)

·  2nd, 3rd, and 6th Periods: Please dress in your Sunday best. We want you to look nice! No t-shirts, shorts, sweats, etc.

A final note to parents:

If you choose to not attend the concert that is your decision. However, all students MUST be picked up promptly afterwards. If we have to wait with a student for longer than 30 minutes following a concert, we will have to call law enforcement. Please pick your children up at the appropriate time. The concert should be over by 7:15 pm. Please be there by that time to pick up your child if you are not staying for the event.

Thank you all for your support this year! We could not do this with the support of our parents!
