Choices That Really Make a Difference:

Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God’s masterpiece…

Isaiah 43:18-19 - “Do not remember the things that have happened before. Do not think about the things of the past. See, I will do a new thing. It will begin happening now…” (NLV)

Choose to Live In The Present!

Lamentations 3:21-24 - Yet, I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! ... …his mercies begin afresh each morning. (NLT)

Jeremiah 29:11 –“For I know the plansI have for you,” declares theLord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

John 16:33 - “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble….But take heart! I have overcomethe world.”

Imagine Our Lives If We:

Choose To Focus On The Positive

Proverbs 4:23 - Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life. (NCV)

Philippians 4:8-9 - Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best… by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious - the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. (MSG)

Romans 12:2 - Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you… (NLT)

Psalm1:1-3 says, "Happy are those who are always meditating on God's word. They're like trees along a river that do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.” (GNT)

Choose To Focus On the Priorities Of Jesus.

Important Activities- have an outcome that moves you toward the fulfillment of our goals and dreams.

Urgent Activities- demand our immediate attention and can be associated with the achievement of someone else’s goals.

Luke 10:38-42 - As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about…. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” (NLT)

We Must Avoid Wasting Time

Choose To Function As Part of A Team

Mark 3:13-15 - Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him, those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve, designating them apostles that they might be with him …

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 - Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. (NLT 2007)

Leviticus 26:8 - Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you. (NIV)

Choose To Take Action

James 2:14-17 - Dear friends, do you think you'll get anywhere in this…if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, "Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!" and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup - Where does that get you? Isn't it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense? (MSG)
