2016-2017 Club Election Process and Application

Roles and Responsibilities

VP - Events

Number of positions: 2

Responsibilities:

o  Leads the planning of club events and assigns responsibilities to the club officers

o  Helps execution of events and coordinates the events with part time administration and assists VP (Marketing) with content

o  Serve as liaison and point of contact for assigned full time clubs.

VP - Marketing

Number of positions: 1

Responsibilities:

o  Manages all communications of the International Business club to the Part-time students

o  Primary contact for Part-time eNews bulletins concerning International Business Club events

o  Also responsible for maintaining and updating the International Business Club website on Campus Groups

o  Serve as liaison and point of contact for assigned full time clubs

VP - Finance

Number of positions: 1

Responsibilities:

o  Plans budget for the year

o  Keeps track of events and helps VP Events with planning

o  Assist in organizing info sessions and events during all quarters

o  Serve as liaison and point of contact for assigned full time clubs

2017 Officers

Number of positions: 2

Responsibilities: Must be graduating on or after Dec 2017.

o  Serve as liaison and point of contact for assigned full time clubs.

o  Assist in organizing info sessions and events during all quarters.

o  Assists 2015/2016 officers in the execution and planning of events.

o  Ideally, would stay on for an additional year to be a VP / President of the club

Election Process

·  Candidates fill out applications and submit applications by February 29, 2016 to the club president, Rahul Jain (). The club president will receive and package the applications for review by the current club officers.

·  Current officers review the applications and vote on the applicants for the officer roles.

o  Each officer gets 1 vote for each position open.

o  Officers can vote for an applicant for each of the officer roles that the applicant applied for.

o  Officers cannot submit more than one vote for an applicant for an officer role.

o  Current officers applying for officer roles can vote for themselves but only for 1 role/position.

o  Votes will be tallied up by position. The applicant with the most votes for each officer role will win that position. For officer roles with multiple roles, the highest 2 or 3 vote getters will become officers in those roles.

·  Current officers will submit their votes to the club president to tally up the votes within 7 days of the application deadline.

·  If there is a tie in votes between applicants for a role or position, the applicants will be interviewed by the current officers to determine the winner of the position.

Timeline:
