1. Unbolt and remove the stock heel guards and foot pegs.

2. Remove the four bolts in the front motor mount bolts, each one at a time. Replace them with the supplied bolt (A) and washer (C) on the back side of the intergraded motor mount bolt. Leave the bolts out enough to slide in the center knuckle in between the motor mounts.

*Note: Make sure the tube in the center knuckle is unbolted and slid out before the center knuckle is installed or else the it will not fit in.*

Once the center knuckle is in place, tighten up the bolts (A) through the holes on the knuckle. When that’s done, a drop of Loctite is preferred to each of those bolts (A) and after that, add a washer (C) with a nut (D) to each bolt as well.

*Note: The 2006 models require the spacer (B) between the frame and the center knuckle.

3.  Slide the tube into the center knuckle then slide the bolt (E) through the top of the knuckle, through the tube, and out the bottom of the knuckle. A drop of Loctite is preferred to the end of the bolt (E) and secure it with a washer (G) and nut (H).

3. The heel guard body that wraps around the stock foot peg will need to be trimmed in order for the nerf bar to fit properly. Leave the plastic pop rivet in until the heel guard body is trimmed for extra support while cutting.

4.  Mount the steel mounting peg included in your kit with the two supplied bolts (I).

*Note: the steel mounting peg tube should sit higher then the mounting holes when bolted on. If the steel mounting peg tube sits lower then the mounting holes, the nerf bar will not line up in the front properly and the nerf bar will sit lower then the frame.*

A drop of Loctite is preferred on each bolt, then thread the bolts through the mounting peg and into the frame. Finger tighten the bolts only because the mounting peg will need to be adjusted when bolting down the front of the nerf bar.

5.  Repeat step 4 on the opposite side.

6.  Slide the nerf bar on and check the fitment. Once you feel the nerf bar is adjusted right, tighten down the bolts that secure the steel mounting peg to the frame.

7. Once those are tight, hold the nerf bar in place and use a drill with a 3/8 drill bit. Use the nerf bar’s pre-drilled holes as a pilot hole to drill out your steel mounting pegs from the front to the rear. Make sure you drill out both sets of holes on the nerf bar.

*Note: Using lubricant while you are drilling may make a cleaner finish on the drilled product and give a longer life to your drill bit.*

When you are finished drilling, pull the nerf bar off and clean the debris off the nerf bar and mounting peg.

8.  Slide the nerf bar back on. Use the supplied bolts (G) with washers (F) and insert it through the nerf bar into the stock foot peg. A drop of Loctite is preferred to the end of the bolt (G) and then secure it with washer (F) and nut (H).

9.  Repeat steps 6-8 on the opposite side.

10.  Once the nerf bars are secured, go back through and tighten all bolts to manufacturer’s specs. You can now loop the net straps around the frame and buckle them in with the buckles provided. We stress that you must run the straps with buckles on your nerf bars for your safety. Their will be a diagram provided in your kit to show you how to thread the strap through the buckle properly.

11.  You’re done!!! Sit back and admire how much better your quad looks with your new Blingstar nerf bars and don’t forget to show them off to your buddies and make them jealous. Now, get out there and ride!
