The Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the Organization of American States presents its compliments to the General Secretariat and is pleased to advise that the Government of El Salvador has decided to nominate jurist Ana Elizabeth Villalta Vizcarra for membership on the Inter-American Juridical Committee for the 2014-2017 period, in elections to take place during the forty-third regular session of the General Assembly to be held in Antigua, Guatemala, from June 4 to 6, 2013.
During her professional and academic career, my country’s candidate–whose curriculum vitae is attached hereto–has been associated with American international law. The aim of her nomination is to make a contribution towards the progressive development and codification of international law in the region. We should be most grateful for Ms. Villalta Vizcarra’s candidacy to be brought to the attention of all the delegations.
The Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the Organization of American States avails itself of this opportunity to convey to the General Secretariat the renewed assurances of its highest consideration.

I am pleased to write you with reference to the nomination for posts on the bodies of the Organization of American States (OAS), for which elections will be held during the forty-third regular session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States, in Antigua, Guatemala, from June 4 to 6, 2013.
In that connection, this is to advise that the Government of El Salvador has decided to nominate Ms. Ana Elizabeth Villalta Vizcarra for re-election to the Inter-American Juridical Committee (CJI) for the 2014-2017 period, in elections to be held within the same framework of the OAS General Assembly. The candidate’s curriculum vitae is attached hereto.
Accordingly, that Permanent Mission is hereby requested to use its invaluable good offices to formally submit this nomination of Ms. Villalta to the appropriate OAS body. We would be most grateful to be updated on the outcome of this request.
