OVERVIEW
Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer behind tobacco, and the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. Seven out of ten homes in Iowa have radon levels above the EPA action level.
January is Radon Action Month and the Iowa Cancer Consortium is hosting a contest to determine the individual and organization that can test the most homes for radon from January 1, 2017-March 31, 2017.
Winners (one individual and one organization) who have the highest number of tests completed (per the instructions and producing a valid result) will receive their 2017 Consortium membership at no cost.
