· Meet the Teacher Ice Cream Social – Joy and Terry ** Lots of families attended; leftover ice cream **
o We had 864 ice cream cups (from Wal-Mart at $0.25/cup)
o 150 Otter pops
o Spoons, napkins, water cups
o PTO Handout with Schedule
o PTO Volunteer signup and PTO Business Sponsors signup
· New Parent Coffee – Joy ** Well attended; new and familiar faces **
o Starbucks donated coffee
§ Manager is Melissa
§ Area Manger is Melissa (different people)
o Pastries picked up (mini muffins/cinnamon rolls/etc)
· Back to School Nights ** PTO member present each night to answer questions **
o Table out with information & Signup sheet
o T-shirts / Water bottles / King Soopers cards for sale
Budget Updates
· 1st half grant to the school for $4000; remaining $4000 is scheduled for Jan 2017
· Teacher Grants totaling $1700 given this week

o Discussed various aspects: Presenters (brought in by Sue Ellen), carnival games/prize redemption, food sales, silent auction possibility and class baskets (for auction)

· Fun Run: TBD
o Working with BoosterThon to do all the leg work. Includes Pep Rally, 10-15 min. class talks, communication, etc.
Open Discussion
· We need to get the Facebook link out there more; great way to get info/events out to families
· Sabrina to discuss Sign-up genius & Thurs emails (need a separate email or can we make it stand out differently)
· Idea for end of year: send survey out to know how parents feel about PTO/events/participation
