General Regulations
The Poultry Show will be held in accordance with the rules of the Poultry Club of Great Britain.
All exhibitors must cleanse and disinfect their show boxes, crates or baskets before the event and be advised to do the same on return to the home premises.
Only birds entered in the show or sale will be allowed in the poultry tent.
Whilst every care is taken, the Society cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to birds, eggs or equipment during the show.
The Society reserves the right to alter times stated if deemed necessary.
Birds whose condition causes concern to judges or stewards will be removed and isolated.
No exhibitor may approach the judges prior to or during judging.
The decision of the Committee and of the judges is final.
Information
ENTRIES
Poultry: A completed entry form with full payment must be sent to the Poultry Secretary (details above) to arrive no later than 4th August.
Eggs: Entries can be
- pre-entered (using the egg entry form), or
- entered on Saturday 8th August between 4-7pm in the Poultry Tent, or
- on Show Day Sunday 9th August between 7.15am and 9am.
No entries will be accepted after 9am.
Egg entries left overnight in the show tent are at the owners’ risk.
Exhibitors with 5 or more entries in the poultry section will receive one complimentary adult ticket to the show, if a stamped, self-addressed envelope is enclosed with the entry form.

ARRIVALS
All poultry entrants must use the main public car park where a Forward Parking Area, close to the poultry tent, will be available. Vehicles can remain there free of charge all day.
Stewards will be available to assist with loading/unloading if required.
JUDGING
The poultry tent will be cleared at 9.15am for judging to commence. Any birds not penned by this time will be excluded from judging.
The tent will be closed to all exhibitors and the public until judging has finished.
No exhibitor may approach the judges prior to or during judging.
The decision of the Committee and of the judges is final.
COLLECTION
Exhibits shall only be removed from the show tent after presentation of prizes, which commences at 3.30pm, subject to the running order. Stewards will assist if required.
SECURITY
Once penned, exhibits shall only be handled by judges or, if deemed necessary, by stewards.
Birds will be fed and watered immediately after judging by the stewards.
Exhibitors must advise in advance if they prefer to feed their own birds.
Water containers and feed will be provided.

POULTRY SALE
Only pre-entered birds are allowed for sale.
No other birds will be allowed in the poultry tent.
Sale pens are available at £5 per pen.
Maximum 3 large birds/6 bantams per pen.
Maximum 4 pens per person.
Poultry Show entrants will be given priority.
No re-stocking of sale pens will be allowed.
Sale birds must be penned between 7.30am and 9.00am show day only. No late arrivals. Sold birds must remain in pens until after show judging.
All sale birds are entered at the owners’ risk.
A ‘poultry for sale’ board will also be available on the day - £1 per card.
