Volunteer Opportunities

Lawn Mowing: The grass is always greener in your neighbor's yard cause they need help mowing it! We have our mind set on warmer weather. Help someone stay in their home by providing lawn mowing services. We’ll match you with someone in need in your area so you can cut their grass for the season!
Spring Yard Cleanup: Do you like spending time outside and want a volunteer opportunity that fits around your schedule? Help a senior get ready for summer by participating in our Spring Yard Cleanup Program. Cleanup begins in May. This is a great volunteer opportunity for any size group. Bring your rakes and clean up winter debris, first floor gutters, wash windows, weed, install screens, trim bushes, and/or place lawn furniture out.
Minor Home Repairs: A client out in Muskego needs someone to look at his backdoor. It is off the hinge and would need to be put back on. The volunteer will need to do a preliminary look at the project. Note: This client was found guilty of enticing a child in 1989. We are able to provide minor home repairs to him as long as it is done by adults.
All Hands on Deck: A client in Sussex is looking to have her front and back decks sanded and repainted this Spring. Her husband passed away last year and took care of home maintenance. She said she has some tools in the shed but the volunteer would need to do a preliminary site visit to see what’s all in there as she is unable to. Because this is a mobile home, the decks aren’t too big and it would likely be a 1 day job.
Forms, Letters, and Bills: A 90 year old woman in Waukesha is looking for assistance on a regular basis to help her fill out forms, letters and bills. She is legally blind but very independent.
Tax Help: We have a client who is 81 in Brookfield in need of help filling out tax forms. He needs someone with some tax knowledge to pick up forms from the library and read them to him so he can fill them out. He has macular degeneration and has very limited vision. Please note: volunteers cannot give legal advice.
Taking out the trash: We have an eighty-five year old client who lives in Dousman who needs her garbage and recycling taken to the dump once a week preferably on Saturday. She lives about 15 mins away from the dump. We are looking for a volunteer who would be willing to do this on a regular basis.
Archivist: Do you like history? Help us preserve our history! We are looking for someone to go through old pictures and newspaper articles and digitalize them. This project could be done around your schedule and has no time restrictions.
Spark! Air: Help caregivers support their loved ones who have dementia by providing an extra hand during programming. Events are held once a month throughout Waukesha County, providing hands on experience to for mental stimulation, communication and social engagement. Check it out: TheCaregiverConnection.org/spark-air/.
Interfaith Ambassador: We are looking for seasoned volunteers (with one or more years of experience with Interfaith) to join our team of Interfaith Ambassadors. Ambassadors represent our agency throughout the community at occasional outreach fairs, presentations, and more. Interfaith Ambassadors receive an initial orientation to learn frequently asked questions and agency information and have the opportunity to share their volunteering experience with others. Please contact Heather at (262) 522-2404 for more information.
Festival of Flowers Volunteers: Be part of our special event and experience a taste of spring at Waukesha Floral & Greenhouse! We are looking for volunteers to help our fundraiser run smoothly on March 22. Volunteer opportunities include greeters, dining room escorts and servers. There are three available volunteer shifts:10:30am-12:45pm, 12:30pm-2:30pm, and 5:00pm-7:00pm. If interested visit the sign up page or contact Anna at .
