1st April - Cerne Giant Challenge 30M XC Jenny Mills abvout 6hrs 45mins.

Jenny writes - Did the Cerne Giant 30 on Sunday – absolutely heavenly challenge event from Cerne Abbas, N.Dorset. The catering was like I’ve seldom seen before – Check Point 2 was like a full scale buffet and at the end was a wonderful casserole, apple crumble and custard, and cups of tea! Can’t be rushed!!

Primroses, bluebells, violets, huge views (and hills!) and so quiet – at one stage even the skylarks had stopped for breath and the only sound was my feet on the path!

Nevertheless, very testing. You could start when you were good and ready and there are no official times so no pressure. Jenny”

(So now you know what a Challenge event is and what Jenny gets up to most weekends. Incidentally, entry costs are usually a mere fraction of road run costs. Ed).
