CALL TO ORDER
The Annual Organizational Meeting of the Milwaukee Area Technical College District Board was held in Open Session on Monday, July 13,2015, and called to order by Attorney Jose Olivieri at 5:06 p.m. in the Board Room, Room M210, at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus of Milwaukee Area Technical College.
ITEM A.ROLL CALL
Present:David Dull;Mark Foley; Mary Isbister (via teleconference); Graciela Maizonet; José Peréz;Mary Scheibel; Kurt Wachholz and Ann Wilson (via teleconference).
Excused:Abdulhamid Ali
ITEM B.COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW
DiscussionAttorney Olivieri indicated that proper notice of the meeting had been given in compliance with the Wisconsin Open Meetings Law.
ITEM C.CONFIRMATION OF NEW/RETURNING BOARD MEMBERS
DiscussionAttorney Olivieri stated that the written Oaths of Office for Mr. Foley, Ms. Isbister and Ms. Maizonet had been submitted and that all individuals were officially seated on the MATC District Board.
ITEM D.ELECTION OF OFFICERS
DiscussionAttorney Olivieri stated that Wisconsin Statutes
Chapter 38, governing the Wisconsin Technical College System, and Chapter 19, governing General Duties of Public Officials, and MATC District Board Policy A0107, Procedures for District Board Meetings/Public Hearings, would be followed in the election of officers.
- Chairperson
ElectionNominations for the office of Chairperson were opened. Dave Dullnominated Kurt Wachholz. Nominations were closed.
Kurt Wachholzwas elected Chairperson by acclamation.
- Vice Chairperson
ElectionNominations for the office of Vice Chairperson were opened. Ms. Wilson nominated Mr. Ali. Mr. Wachholz nominated Mr. Dull. Nominations were closed.
Board members voted by secret ballot.
Dave Dullwas elected Vice Chairperson by majority vote.
- Secretary
ElectionNominations for the office of Secretary were opened. Mark. Foley nominated himself. José Pérez nominated himself. Nominations were closed.
Board members voted by secret ballot.
José Pérez was elected Secretary by majority vote.
- Treasurer
ElectionNominations for the office of Treasurer were opened. Ann Wilsonnominated Abdulhamid Ali. José Pérez nominated Grace Maizonet. Nominations were closed.
Board members voted by secret ballot.
Abdulhamid Aliwas elected Treasurer by majority vote.
ITEM E.2015-2016 BOARD COMMITTEES APPOINTMENTS
DiscussionChairperson Wachholz deferred the 2015-2016 Board Committees Appointments to a later date.
ITEM F.2015-2016 SELECTION OF WISCONSIN TECHNICAL COLLEGE DISTRICT BOARDS ASSOCIATION REPRESENTATIVES
DiscussionChairperson Wachholz deferred the 2015-2016Selection of Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association Representatives to a later date.
ITEM G.2015-2016 BOARD REPRESENTATIVES TO ASSOCIATED GROUPS
DiscussionChairperson Wachholz deferred the selection of 2015-2016Board Representatives to Associated Groups to a later date.
Attorney Olivieri turned the meeting over to Chairperson Wachholz.
ITEM H.2015-2016 BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE
DiscussionChairperson Wachholz stated that the regular monthly board meetings would continue to be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 5:00 p.m. TheDecember 15, 2015, meeting will be held on the third Tuesday of the month due to Decemberholidays.
Ms. Wilson disconnected at 5:37 p.m.

MotionIt was moved by Mr. Dull, seconded by Mr. Pérez, to approve Resolution (BD0025-07-15) Authorizing the Sale of $1,500,000.00 General Obligation Promissory Notes, Series 2015-2016B of Milwaukee Area Technical College District, Wisconsin
DiscussionKeith Kolb, managing director, Robert W. Baird & Co., distributed and reviewed the Final Pricing Summary for the $1,500,000 General Obligation Promissory Notes, Series 2015-2016B.
ActionMotion approved, the roll call vote being as follows:

Noes:None.
