Approval of Minutes

  • Minutes from the April 6 meeting were approved.

Committee Elections

  • The following were elected to serve on the Unit Personnel Committee for 2016-17
  • Lisa Cassidy
  • Carter Meyer
  • Michael Unger

  • Peter Scheckner
  • Michael Unger was elected to serve on the All College-Tenure Committee for the 2016-17 AY.

Committee Reports

  • ARC is meeting with GECCO to discuss general education implementation.
  • AFT discussed news on retroactive pay.
  • FAEC discussed the following:
  • Final Faculty Assembly Meeting will be May 11, 2016
  • A Vote on GECCO charge will take place on May 11, 2016
  • Criteria on how courses are put into categories for new Gen. Ed.
  • Ed Shannon was elected to serve as the alternate for FAEC 2016-17 AY.

Dean’s Report

  • Anthony Padovano will be the speaker at the 2016 Commencement Ceremony.
  • MALS Reception on May 2 was a huge success.

G-Mail Migration

  • Trish Williams discussed the migration project with the Unit.

Teacher Education Certification

  • Rexton Lynn and Rich Russo shared updates on the new teacher education requirements.

Mid-Career Reflection

  • Shaziela Ishak discussed Mid-Career Reflection in the new general education.
