Haley had carried on some correspondence with Donoghue in the late 20's and early 30's. Original papers that came with the slides is filed in "JEH, II, B, Donoghue". It consists of 40 slides (3 1/8 x 4) of individuals and a set of 8 which are titled "Salt Dome Handicap" and are images of a typewritten script of a horse race based on individuals in the group.
