GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS - 2016

(1)Scholarships are available to active members, including family members of the Board and staff, in good standing of the Legacy Savings and Credit Union for a period of one (1) year prior to application for a scholarship.

(2)Scholarships are available to members who have completed their Grade 12 within the 2 years

preceding this application, and are entering a post secondary institution for the first time.

(3)Successful recipients of a Scholarship will be allowed a free choice in the selection of an accredited school of learning.

(4)Academic merit will be the first consideration in awarding scholarships.

(5)Documentary evidence of marks is to be provided by the applicants for Scholarships and must accompany applications for Scholarship.

(6)All applicants for Scholarships are to be in the hands of the Legacy Savings & Credit Union not later than August 19, 2016 without exception.

(7)Awards will be distributed by the Board of Trustees only after the successful recipient has been accepted at the Institution of his choice.

(8)Awards will apply to the term immediately following the award.

(9)Successful recipients of awards are not allowed to apply again.

(10)Applicants are required to submit a copy of an OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT OF ACHIEVEMENT from ALBERTA EDUCATION.

(11)Scholarship applicants will have their names and photographs published in the “Legacy Savings & Credit Union“newsletter and on the “Legacy Savings & Credit Union” website.
