ROLE

We are looking for an experienced IT Collaboration and Training Specialistto play a key role within this global Commodity Trading and Financial Services organization. You will be based in our Tomball, Texas (Houston area) location.Working within our highly diverse business you will have the opportunity to make a real impact working on a range of regional and global projects, support on the day-to- day management of terminal issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Collaboration and Training Specialist in this role will be responsible for the strategy, design and implementation of the SharePoint application in an Office 365 environment. The successful candidate will develop the strategy and design the training plan for MS Office apps and other software as may be required and deliver the training to end users.

Essential Functions

  • Deploy, customize and administer SharePoint portal.
  • Develop, administrator and coordinate an overall software applications training curriculum for end user of all levels.

Minimum Experience, Skills, and Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience supporting enterprise and desktop applications, primarily SharePoint.
  • Proven experience with adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into course development and delivery concepts, as well as technical software issues.

Education Requirements:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business management or education, and/or 5 years equivalent education and work experience.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Office and SharePoint preferred.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a regular, full-time position. Days and hours typically worked are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., additional hours as required to meet position expectations. Occasional travel between training locations required. Sitting for extended periods of time
