INTERNATIONAL HODJA AHMET YESEVI KAZAKH-TURKISH UNIVERSITY WILL ACCEPT STUDENTS FROM TURKIC REPUBLICS, TURKIC AND RELATIVE COMMUNITIES FOR 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR

International Hodja Ahmet Yesevi Kazakh-Turkish University is announcing the accept applicants for a bachelor’s program from Turkic Republics, Turkic and Relative Communities for 2018-2019 academic year. Scholarships are considered for students.

Applications are accepted only via the Internet (online).

During the application applicants will not state their undergraduate department preference. Department preferences will be determined at the end of preparatory school education in terms of average grade.

Requirements for online Application

Candidates must fill in the application form on the websiteadmission.ayu.edu.kzand send the scanned forms of necessary documents (jpg or pdf) by June30.2018.

Necessary document for Application

1. Passport;
2. Certificate (High school diploma);
3. Transcript: This is a document indicating candidates’ high school courses and grades taken from those courses.
4. Recommendation letter;
5. Covering letter;
6. A photo taken in the last six months.

If available:

1. Certificate of state examination;
2. Letter of thanks;
3. Honorable mention;
4. Certificate.

General Requirements

-To have a basic education in accordance with the secondary education program of the Republic of Kazakhstan or of the Republic of Turkey;

-Must be citizen of one of Turkic republics or Turkic relative communities (except for the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkey).

Evaluation and Placement

The selection committee will analyze the documents from 01.07.2018 to 15.07.2018. From the selected applicants will be taken online examination between 16.07.2018-25.07.2018. The examination questions will be given in 4 languages (Kazakh, Turkish, English, Russian). The applicant will choose the examination language himself (herself).

After the decision of the selection committee, students who getthe right to study at the University’s PreparationFaculty will be sent an acceptance message to their e-mails. In addition, general results will be announced on websiteayu.edu.kz, ayu.edu.trat the beginning of August.

Visa procedures for Kazakhstan

Educational visa procedures will be started and visa numbers will be sent to their e-mails for students accepted from those countries from which Kazakhstan demands a visa. However, in order to start visa procedures, students getting right to study at our university must send photocopies of their passports to the address given below until 10.08.2018. Photocopies of passport pages indicating identification information and validity period must be sent. The validity period of passport must be at least for two years. Students will be able to get their visas showing their visa numbers from the consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in their native countries. Those who could not get an educational visa for Kazakhstan in one way or another will not be accepted to university.

OUR UNIVERSITY

International Hodja Ahmet Yesevi Turkish-Kazakh University is a mutual state university founded in accordance with the agreement signed by the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is in Kazakhstan and its central campus is in Turkistan. Apart from central campus its several units are in the city of Kentau. About 15000 students are currently studying at the University. 922 academicians take part in the process of education. It has 8 faculties: FACULTY OF ENGINEERING, FACULTY OF SCIENCES, FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES, FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES, FACULTY OF PHILOLOGY, and FACULTY OF ART AND FACULTY OF MEDICINE. At the above faculties the disciplines listed below are taught.

CENTRE FOR LANGUAGE TEACHING

The medium of instruction at our university is Kazakh language, Turkish, English and Russian. Students who come from Turkic relative communities learn Kazakh language, Turkish and Russian. Department preferences will be determined at the end of preparatory school education in terms of average grade. Students not succeeding at preparatory education are dismissed.

SCHOLARSHIP AND EDUCATION FEE

Students who come from Turkic republics and Turkic relative communities are provided with a return fare once in a year by the university. Education at Ahmet Yesevi University is free of charge. Students, themselves, provide their housing and personal expenses. Scholarship is 100 US Dollars per month.

DORMITORIES

Our university has modern dormitories for both girls and boys. In Turkistan campus, there are 650 boy and girl person capacity dormitories. In addition to these dormitories, both in Turkistan and Kentau there are other dormitories. For students at Preparation Faculty living in dormitory is obligatorily. After finishing the Preparation Faculty, students can hire their own houses. Annual dormitory fee is 70 US Dollars.

DINING HALL

There is a 400 person capacity modern dining hall. Students can get four different courses for lunch paying 1.5 US dollars in average.

INTERNET

In our Turkistan campus, there is wireless internet access. Students can get internet access easily wherever they like (including dormitories).

LIBRARY

The university has own four-story library. In our library in the cultural center of university there are over one million books in Kazakh language, Turkish, Russian and other western languages. Our library together with its internet access provides service to 2500 students daily. It is also equipped with encyclopedias and electronic books.

HEALTH CARE SERVICES

The students are provided with modern conditions of health care servicesThe health centre of our University is open 24 hours giving health care services at every level. In case of emergency, medication is free of charge for students.
