The following items shall modify or be added to the Bid Documents and Project Manual. This addendum forms part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original bidding documents. Portions of the Bidding and Contract Documents not altered by this addendum remain in full force.

These addendum form part of the Contract Documents and as such, ALL BIDDERS SHOULD ACKNOWLEDGE IT IN SECTION D ON THE FORM FOR GENERAL BID AND THE FORM FOR SUB BID. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN THE REJECTION OF YOUR BID.

Question 1 -Section 08300 calls for flush wood doors and sheet A9.2 on the door schedule also calls for flush wood doors. Details 4 and 5 on sheet A9.2 show a Style and Rail door. Please confirm which the correct door.

Answer - All doors are to be flush wood doors as specified. The elevation drawings show panel and rail doors which is incorrect. Details 4 & 5 are pertaining to head and jamb only, not the door as shown therein. Doors on the door schedule are sized properly.

Question 2 - Can you please clarify the intent of the timeline for this project. It is written to have occupancy in May which is impossible with an April 15th bid date. The contract, bonds, and permit put you into the middle of May before you even start construction. There are products that are 4-6 week lead times which would make a minimum 60 day construction period. It would require working 6 days a week with overtime to even make a 4th of July occupancy date. The tight budget for this project doesn’t seem like that is the intent. Also, with a restricted budget and very quick construction period, what is the need for a job office trailer. It seems like a cost that is not needed. Please clarify these items at your earliest convenience.

Answer - The Project Completion date is extended to July 1, 2016. Space within the existing bathhouse can be converted for use as a job site office and meeting area and returned to current use after completion of the contract. No trailer is required site during construction. It is the intention of this contract to allow for partial and temporary use of existing toilets until the new toilet facility can be used by the public.
