This role profile is non-contractual and provided for guidance. It will be updated and amended from time to time in accordance with the changing needs of the University and the requirements of the job.
PURPOSE OF ROLE: The efficient and effective delivery of teaching timetables, confirmation of web room bookings and scheduling non-teaching ad-hoc and one-off bookings. The post holder will be required to work independently and as part of the Timetabling team within the Directorate of Student Academic Services.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Team Specific:
To maintain, collate and input programme, course, staff and student data (via the scheduling software) to ensure the effective scheduling of the University teaching timetable
To maintain the integrity of the data in relation to timetabling, room booking and teaching resources
To input additions, deletions and revisions to teaching and non-teaching bookable space allocations
To be responsive to queries in respect of bookable space usage at each campus
To provide assistance to the Head of Timetabling, the Timetabling Manager and the Data Manager in the provision of requirements for internal and external monitoring purposes
To refer any complaints or possible conflict with Faculties and /or Directorates to the Timetabling Manager in the first instance
To liaise effectively with colleagues in the Timetabling team, the Directorate of Student & Academic Services, Faculties and Directorates across the University
Generic:
Attend the Timetabling Management group meetings as required
General duties as required to support the work of the Timetabling team and that of the Directorate

Qualifications
Educated to HND/Degree level or equivalent
Demonstrable relevant work experience / Desirable

Knowledge of the Scientia/Syllabus+ timetabling software
