A Schmates Home or

an “Uptown” apartment . . .
You make the call!

The advantages of living in a Schmates home verses an uptown apartment or dorm during your last two years at Miami University:

Each of our homes has charm and character.

There is a Miami Tradition of living in a house Junior and Senior year.

We have spacious living and dining areas compared to apartments.

Average dorm square footage is 140 sq. ft. Our homes average 2000 sq. ft.

One cannot confirm an exact dorm room or roommate until mid-April.

Not all upper classmen will be guaranteed on campus housing.

We provide a secure grass-filled back yard for beer pong and corn hole games and a front yard for water balloon fights and sunbathing.

You will have a quiet, spacious bedroom to hear the birds sing in the morning

You will have generous space to store your bicyclessports equipment.

You will have a front porch for viewing sidewalk traffic – priceless!

Our homes are owned and managed by Miami graduates.

You will have a guaranteed location for your graduation party with your parents.

You will have a back yard to discuss the constellations at night or grill a juicy burger.

Imagine the relief of not having to walk up three flights of stairs to a cramped apartment with no porch or yard.

Picture your pumpkins on the front porch in October, a Christmas tree in your living room, tulips in the spring and mums in the fall.

Enjoy free and convenient parking.

You will have a spacious dining area to host dinner using Mom’s homemade spaghetti sauce.

You will have space for any visiting siblings, friends or parents.

You will learn the life skill of managing a household.

Make memories in your Schmates home that will last forever, long after you have forgotten your professors’ names.

Get a better value for your dollar than an uptown apartment or Heritage Commons.

Truly a life experience…
