The Pool will be opened one and a half hours (11/2hrs.) before starting time.

ELIGIBILITY:All Clubs and Swimmers, in good standing, registered with the ASAJ or other FINA affiliated Federations.

Ages for the Age Group Competition shall be as of midnight

December 31, 2014

Ages for the Masters Competition shall be as of midnight December 31, 2015

ENTRY LIMITS:Number of events per swimmer - Maximum 3 per session (not including relays)

Number of entries per Club - No limit except Open events

Number of entries per Club in Open events - 8 per event (10, if the additional 2 are ages 10-12 years old)

Number of relay teams per Club - 2 per event

ENTRY FEES:JA$200.00 per individual event if entries submitted using Hy-Tek software, or

JA$250.00 per individual event if entries NOT submitted using Hy-Tek software

JA$400.00 per individual event if entries are submitted after 4:00 PM on October 14, 2015

JA$300.00 per relay teamper event.

Refreshment Surcharge $100.00 per swimmer

NB: If the entry fees are not paid before the start of the competition, a penalty equal to 15% of the entry fees will be added

RULES:FINA Rules and ASAJ By-Laws in force at time of competition will apply. See attached Form for Additional Rules and Regulations.

REGISTRATION:The ASAJ Register closes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday October 2, 2015

ENTRY DEADLINE:4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Entries are to be delivered to the ASAJ Office or placed in the ASAJ Mail Box at the National Aquatic Centre. Entries are preferred in electronic form using Hy-Tek software. A signed hard copy printout of the entries must be sent as proof of entry. Deliver as indicated above or email to:

ADDITIONAL RULES
  1. There will be no Marshalling Area for the Meet. Swimmers for next heat must be behind the blocks while the current heat is in progress.
  2. Local clubs are required to submit, a list of volunteers to act as Technical Officials and to perform other duties essential to the smooth running of the competition. Clubs must submit the names of volunteers to the ASAJ Office at least four (4) days before the start of the competition. Volunteers MUST report to the volunteer desk at least sixty (60) minutes before the start of the competition for registration and assignment. Clubs are expected to provide the following number of volunteers - (non-compliant clubs will be excluded from participation):
  • 1 - 10 swimmers entered: One (1) volunteer per session
  • 11 - 20 swimmers entered: Four (4) volunteers per session
  • 21 - 40 swimmers entered:Five (5) volunteers per session
  • 41 or more swimmers entered: Eight (8) volunteers per session
  • Unattached swimmers: One (1) volunteer for one (1) session
  1. For the 800 & 1,500 M Freestyle events (Friday): teams are required to provide one time-keeper and a turn judge/lap counter for each swimmer entered.
  2. For the 400, 800, 1,500 M Freestyle and the 400 M Individual Medley events: swimmers must check in for the event no later than sixty (60) minutes prior to the scheduled start of the event (event start times will be posted on four (24) hours before the start of meet)

ENTRIES AND RESULTS

  1. Competitors will only be allowed to swim in their Age Group.
  2. Only swimmers 10 years and older may swim in OPEN events.
  3. Deck entries and Time Trials will be allowed at the discretion of the Referee. Swim times will be included in the final results but will not score points. A fee of JA$300.00 per event will be charged.
  4. Scratches are allowed at any time.
  5. The Original page of the Relay card must be handed in to the Recorder thirty (30) minutes before the start of the first event of the session. The Duplicate copy must be handed to the chief lane judge prior to the start of the race. Any change must be made at least four (4) events prior to the scheduled event number, after that on presentation of a medical certificate. The swimmers must be named in order of swimming in accordance with FINA rules.
  6. Masters events will be scored according to the FINA Age Groups.

AWARDS AND POINTS

  1. Age Group Events - Achievement trophies will be awarded as follows:
  • Team trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Clubs ranked according to points based on the 2013 - 2016 Time Standards as follows:

(No points will be awarded for relays)

  • There willbe an Achievement Trophy for the male and female swimmers with the highest ‘A’ points in the following age groups: 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18. Swimmers must score a minimum of 10 points to qualify for the Achievement Trophy.
  • Medals will be awarded for first to third place in each event.
  1. Masters Events- A Trophy will be awarded to the Masters Club with the most points.
  2. Masters events results will be published and scored using the FINA Age Groups. The eight (8) fastest swimmers in each Age Group will score as follows: 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.
