How to get the bachelor's degree?

Degree: A bachelor’s degree is conferred if students meet all the requirements in Regulations of BNUZ on Bachelor’s Degree Awarding.

What courses would I take on the Bachelor of Arts?

Language Module

Compulsory Courses:

A.Basic Chinese: Basic Chinese (I&II), Mandarin Listening Comprehension(I&II),Chinese Characters ,Mandarin Conversations(I&II), Reading in Chinese(I,II&III), Chinese Composition(I&II).

B.Business Chinese:Business Mandarin(I&II), Intensive Reading in Business Chinese(I&II), Business Correspondence in Chinese(I&II), Business Documents Writing in Hong Kong and Macau.

Elective Courses: Cantonese listening and speaking(I&II), Intermediate English, Cantonese-Mandarin Translation,etc.

Culture Module

Compulsory Courses: Chinese Economy and Society, Hong Kong Economy and Society.

Elective Courses:Chinese History, Chinese Geography, Chinese Movies and Teleplays, Chinese Literature, Chinese Art.

Business Courses(taught in English) (Elective Courses Only)

Laws and Regulations on International Business Activities, International Business Etiquette, Introduction to English Speaking Countries, English Teaching Methodology, Advertising English, Cross-Cultural Communication, English Drama, International Business Management, International E-Commerce.

What practice opportunities could I have?

Partnership: To maintain a language-learning partnership with Chinese students to practice Mandarin and Cantonese outside the classroom.

Workshops: Contrastive Study of Chinese (including Hong Kong) Culture and South East Asian Culture,Business Exhibition Planning and Practice.

Internships: Opportunities are provided in the last (8th) semester to work as an intern in companies in Hong Kong and the Pearl Delta Area, international schools in Mainland China or primary schools and high schools in Hong Kong.

Financial Assistance & Fellowships

The SSP/USP projects of HKU that support the learning of Chinese by NCS- students are now offering financial assistance tooutstanding NCS secondary school graduates to study at BNUZ for their first year extensible on a yearly basis.

The Delia MemorialSchool Groups and the charity organization YAN OI TONG are now offering financial assistance to the students who indeed have financial problems.

BNUZ is offering Scholarships to excellent students each year.
