Nominations for MacArthur PTA Life Membership
The following is a list of MacArthur faculty, staff members and parents who have received an Honorary Texas PTA Life Membership the last two years. This is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon an individual by the Texas PTA. Each year, several participants are chosen by the MacArthur Life Membership Committee based on nominations received from the MacArthur community.
Do you know someone whose name belongs on this list? Someone who has gone the “extra mile” for our students? A volunteer or staff member who is always there when needed? A teacher who is exceptional in her/his dedication to education? A community member who brings her/his resources and expertise to the school for the benefit of all children?
Please take a moment to nominate a person you wish to be considered for the special award. The person need not be active in PTA and can be a parent, faculty, staff or community member. PTA National Life Achievement Award is given to someone who continues to make outstanding contributions to the welfare of children, while the Texas PTA Extended Service Award is reserved for people who have continued to be actively involved in Texas PTA for at least 10 years and have been members or community members who have made a worthwhile contribution to the well-being of children and youth. If someone has already received an Honorary Life Membership, they can still be nominated to receive a PTA National Life Achievement Award or Texas PTA Extended Service Award.
