The role

As the Senior Wintel Systems Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining system availability through the maintenance, upgrade and enhancement of the Wintel/VMWare environment.

We have a single site,located in Darlinghurst.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Building and running VMWare clusters
  • Building and running Windows Servers and Active Directory
  • 3rd Level support for Wintel issues
  • Building and running Exchange servers
  • Building and running SCCM
  • Projects running on Wintel infrastructure
  • Assisting customers with urgent issues if Service Desk staff are unavailable

About you

We are looking for an experienced Wintel Engineer with experience in supporting IT infrastructure within a business of at least 300 users. You will need to be flexible, motivated and calm under pressure.

We would like to meet you if you have:

  • Experience and advanced understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and related roles (DNS, DHCP, DFS, CA etc.)
  • Experience and advanced understanding of VMWare
  • Experience and advanced understanding of Windows Server and Client products
  • Experience with a range of Microsoft Back Office products (MS SQL Server and MS Exchange)
  • Experience with VEEAM
  • Experience with SOE and Patch management
  • Experience with Scripting and PowerShell skills
  • Experience with Nutanix or similar hyper converged infrastructure, SCCM and networking are desirable but not essential

This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.
