Attendance Officer
The St Neots Learning Partnership is a Multi Academy Trust with two mainstream secondary schools in St Neots: Longsands Academy and Ernulf Academy. We are seeking an Attendance Officer at Longsands Academy to work 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time plus one week.
This role is to ensure that attendance records are accurate, that any student absences are recorded appropriately following contact with parents/carers and to contribute to weekly attendance meetings where extra support may need to be put in place for students whose attendance is a concern. This will involve working with the Attendance Manager and the Student Support teams to ensure that poor attendance is challenged and appropriate measures are put in place to support students and their families. The successful candidate will also be required to provide relevant attendance data to the Deputy Headteacher regularly throughout the year.
Applicants should be able to accurately enter data to meet deadlines, have excellent communication skills, be skilled at time management and have the ability to prioritise tasks.
Previous experience would be an advantage, particularly in the use of SIMS; however, this is not essential as full training will be given.
Working hours are 8am – 4pm (Monday – Thursday) and 8am – 3:30pm (Friday). The salary is based on Local Government Salary level 2 £13,729 – £14,289.
