English as a Second Language Intermediate Level Syllabus
Los Angeles Valley College Kevin Butler, Instructor Summer 2016
English as a Second Language Intermediate Level is a non-credit course designed to facilitate and improve students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Students will be presented lessons and activities in various ways, including whole group instruction, small group instruction, pairs, and independent reading and writing activities.
Supplies: Students should bring a notebook, pens, pencils, a highlighter, and a folder to neatly take home and/or return papers or handouts given.
Policies and Procedures: Students are expected to be present and participate in all classroom instruction. Also, students are expected to follow the teacher’s class rules. If you are a student with a disability requiring classroom accommodations, and have not contacted SSD, do so in a timely manner. SSD is located in the Student Services Annex, Room 175 or call SSD at (818) 947-2681 or TTD (818) 947-2680 to meet with a SSD counselor.
