2017S.W. REGION SKITTLES FINALS -COMPETITION RULES
1.All players must be full members of the CSSC and can be taken from Civil Service bodies, Area Associations, Departmental Offices, Post Office, BT, Public Service bodies including Fire, Police and Ambulance Service, Services Personnel or any other affiliated body. Also retired members of any of the above organisations. CSSC Linked Members may also participate.
2.All players must have their CSSC membership numbers entered on the team application form.
3.Each team can use up to ten players either all male, all female or mixed.
4.The finals will be played on “round-robin” league basis. Each game will consist of any six players from the maximum of up toeight that can be registered, and you may use a different six each game although you may not change players during a game. The finals will be held Bristol CS Club on a Sunday 9thApril 2017 starting at 1.30pm.
5.Each game will be played over either (a) five legs with each team playing each other once if 4 or 5 teams enter or (b) three legs with each team playing each other once if 6 or more teams enter. Each player will throw three balls consecutively with each team throwing alternate legs and the highest pin total will decide the winner of each game. Two points will be awarded for a win and one for a draw.
6.The team with the greatest number of points after the “round-robin” will be the Regional winners. In the event of a tie on points the team with the highest overall “pin total for” will be deemed the winner. If there is still a tie then the team with the lowest overall “pin total against” will be deemed the winner. If after this there is still a tie then the team captains will nominate one player each to throw an extra leg (or legs) until a clear winner is found.
7.Only host alley equipment will be used and host alley rules will apply. Any problems or irregularities with the rules must be brought to the attention of the Organiser before the games commence and these will be discussed and agreed by all the team captains and the Organiser prior to commencement.
8.You are reminded that the CSSC can accept no liability for personal injury, loss or damage incurred by any competitor whilst taking part in competitions.
9.The Regional winners will go on to represent the S.W. Region in the National Finals, which will be held on Saturday 3rd June 2017 at the Cheltenham C.S.Club. In the event that the winning team cannot attend the National Finals then the runner-up team will be asked to participate.
