VISION:

A prosperous diverse community that is effectively utilizing, conserving, and sharing the natural resources of the region.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Ontario Lake Plains RC&D is to bring together people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, who share a common concern for the natural resources of the region. So that, working together, these citizens may form an effective strategy to develop, enhance, and preserve these resources for the benefit of all present, and future citizens of, and visitors to Erie, Genesee, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, And Wayne counties.

Overview of Fiscal Year 2010 Objectives

·  Need to reach a more diverse group of possible clients with the best means probably being news articles in local newspapers.

·  Seek a more diverse representation on various boards, etc. by contacting minority organizations to see if there is any interest.

·  Begin direct outreach with local Tribal representatives, invite to Council meetings.

·  Make information available through more newsletters to a broader media source. Information mailing and to LRF/Minorities on an annual basis.
