24 - REPORT CLEARANCE
Regional Reports. Requests for approval of new or revised Regional recurring reports must be processed through the Reports Coordinator, Information Systems. Staff Directors will prepare Forms AD-367, with supporting documents and submit to Information Systems, Directive Manager.
The Reports coordinator shall review each new or revised report to analyze and evaluate:
a. Information requirements.
b. The procedures and forms for collecting, reporting, and using the information are efficient and economical.
c. The degree to which the information is already available and the requirement has been coordinated with data management specialists.
d. The workload and cost of the report is justified relative to the benefits expected from the use of the information requested.
Following the evaluation, the Reports Coordinator will forward the report evaluation, complete with recommendations, to the Regional Forester for decision. The Reports Coordinator will notify the Staff Director of the Regional Forester's decision.
Recurrent reports approved by the Regional Forester will be assigned a report control number and will be listed in the Regional Reports Schedule supplement to this handbook.
