SCAS/BCAA Double WA 1440 Tournament

Venue / Redborne Upper School & Community College, Flitwick Road, Ampthill, Bedfordshire, MK45 2NU.
Rounds / WA 1440 round in all World Archery Classes (Ladies and Gents Senior Cadet, Junior and Master)
VI Outdoor Round for VI1 and VI2/VI3
Archery GB Metrics I to V in all Archery GB categories. Single rounds may be shot on either day
Event format / Rounds will be shot in a single detail of up to three archers. Straw bosses on H frame stands will be used.
Six arrows per end will be shot throughout the day. At the two shortest distances recurve and compound archers will shoot all their arrows on an individual 80cm 6 ring face. Longbow and barebow archers will be on dedicated targets and all archers on each boss will share a single, full size 80cm face. WA timing and shooting rules will apply and the rounds will be shot from the longest distance to the shortest
Times / From 8:45 am: Equipment inspection at the Director of Shooting’s stand
At 9:00 am: Assembly
From 9:15 am: Up to 45 minutes’ practice on the field under Judge control

Please make cheques payable to Bedfordshire County Archery Association. Preference will be given to double round entries if the tournament is full. Electronic payment can be arranged.
Awards / Awards will be available for all WA classes and age appropriate Metric rounds. Numbers of awards will be dependent on entries. Recurve Team, Compound Team and Mixed Team awards together with Distance Awards will be available for double rounds.
WA Star and WA Silver Star awards can be claimed at this shoot and scores are also eligible for use in the Archery GB rankings and Arrow Award scheme.
Camping / There will be facilities for camping and caravans on Friday and Saturday night for a fee of £3.00 per unit per night. Please indicate and include the fee with your entry.

Target List and Results / Target List & Results will be e-mailed and placed on the BCAA website (www.archerybeds.com). If you would like to receive a copy by post, please enclose two LARGE (C5 preferred) stamped addressed envelopes with the entry form.
Closing Date / 29th June 2018. Space will be allocated on a first come first served basis. No refunds for cancellation after the closing date. For late entries or enquiries please phone the above numbers.
Drug Testing / Archers attending this shoot will be liable for drug testing and competitors approached to give samples must comply; if they refuse that refusal will be treated as a positive result. Where an entry form contains entries from under 18s, the parent or legal guardian of each under 18 years old must countersign the form to signify that they consent to their child being tested if so approached
Photography / In view of the provisions of the Archery GB protection of children and vulnerable adults policy, those wishing to take photographs at this event must register their details with the Tournament Organiser.
Shooting Regulations / Archery GB (or other WA affiliated body) membership numbers must be included on the entry form and a valid Archery GB card or other proof that affiliation fees have been paid must be presented on arrival.
Archery GB has asked that all archers sign the entry form to confirm that they will comply with the Archery GB Rules of Shooting and Code of Conduct, all in keeping with the Society’s motto “Union, Trueheart and Courtesie”.
Archery GB dress regulations as specified in rule 307 will apply.
World Archery Classes / Under World Archery regulations you can compete in the Cadet class up to and including the year of your 17th birthday, the Junior class up to and including the year of your 20th birthday and in the Master class from the year including your 50th birthday. The Cadet and Master classes shoot shorter distances than the Junior and Senior classes so please bear this in mind when choosing which class to enter.
Refreshments / Mobile food catering will be available throughout the weekend
