Core 6 credit hours: EEE 554 (3) and CSE 551 (3)

Area Courses: 12 credit hours

• 6 of the 12 credit hours should be courses covering two (2) of the five (5) CEN areas.

• CEN-CS Concentration requirement: 9 credits CSE or CEN and 3 credits EEE or CEN. This requirement must be met by taking area courses.

• CEN-EE Concentration requirement: 9 credits EEE or CEN and 3 credits CSE or CEN. This requirement must be met by taking area courses.

• No 4XX or 4XX/591 allowed in the Area

Electives 6 credit hours, selected from approved list of elective courses or from CEN Area Courses.

• Maximum of 6 credit hours of CSE/EEE 4XX level coursework from approved list (see list in handbook)

• Up to 12 credits of combined cross listed courses (5XX/4XX) and 400 level courses from approved list (see list in handbook)

• Other Math, Science, and Engineering courses can count as electives with pre-approval.

• CEN 590 (3 credit hours) – Independent Study
Thesis

• CEN 599 – Thesis (Written thesis and Oral defense)
*Maximum 12 hours done as pre-admission credits.

*9 maximum shared hours and 3 maximum reserved hours (or more if not sharing 9 hours).
