Warranty Overview

This warranty is provided By ACT. UK. / i-motioncaddys

The warranty covers your i-m4 golf buggy for a period of 12 months and it becomes valid from the date of purchase (not usage) it is identified by the invoiced chassis number.

The warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners, and is only valid to the original purchaser, and is subject to the conditions detailed hereafter.

In the event of a claim you must produce your warranty to verify its validity.

All limitations must be adhered to at all times

Your warranty covers Mechanical and Electrical failure of all parts under the

“Parts Covered” section of this document. All parts not covered are detailed in the “Parts Not Covered” section.

Any part or parts not detailed are deemed not to be covered by this warranty

Parts Covered

  • Curtis Controller and controller looms
  • Curtis Contactor.
  • Motor.
  • Electronic Switches including power/charging display.
  • Ignition Switch.
  • Electromagnetic Brake Handle (Throttle)
  • Mechanical Brake Hose.
  • Mechanical Brake Discs or Pads (Pads 6 months only)
  • Front Suspension.
  • Rear Suspension
  • Batteries (6 months only)
  • Battery Charger
  • Charging loons and Connectors
  • Steering System (excluding wheels and tyres)
  • Body Pivoting System.
  • Buggy Chassis

Parts Not Covered

  • Wheels and Tyres, including: wheel bearings, nuts and bolts, tyre caps, wheel axles, spacers, washers – all front and rear, where applicable)
  • Bodywork, including: fibreglass body, consol, footplates, seat, and rear fold down holder, nuts bolts and washers.
  • Equipment, basket, golf bag holder, bumper, score card holder and all other attachments)
  • Ignition Keys
  • Bakelite Knobs.

In addition to the above parts/items not covered, the warrantee does not cover the following.

  • Defects arising from wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or neglect, tampering by unqualified persons.
  • Abnormal wear and tear caused by hire or commercial usage is excluded from this warranty.
  • Water Damage to components, including electronic controller, controller looms and connectors, contactor, electronic switches, ignition switch, motor, charging system, charger, electronic and mechanical brake system.
  • Also, any component that has failed through direct or indirect failure of another component, which failed through water damage, will not be covered by your warranty.
  • The warranty will not be valid if any alteration, modification or replacement of any parts other than specified, is made, or if the buggy parts are connected to an electric supply other than which it is intended for.
  • Any non-approved modifications to your buggy will result in your warranty becoming invalid.
  • All liability in respect of any third party and consequential loss or damage, however arising, is expressly excluded.

Other Conditions of Your Warranty

You must perform basic routine maintenance on your buggy after use: Including

  • Removing mud and debris from under the body on/around, your batteries, controller cover, motor, axel, brake drums, suspension springs and chassis.
  • Clean exterior with mild detergent and warm water DO NOT use a high-pressure jet wash.
  • Recharging the Batteries.
  • Checking wheel nuts and all visible nuts and bolts for looseness.
  • Check battery indicator lights.
  • Check tyre pressures
  • Lubricate moving parts if needed.

Details of all maintenance procedures can be found in your owner’s manual.

Procedure For Warranty Claim

This is a return to base Warranty.

Should your buggy fail mechanically or electrically within the conditions set out above, you should contact:

You will then be “put through” or “contacted by” a technical adviser where you can report in detail exactly what problem/fault or failure you are having, or, have had, with the buggy.

The adviser will then be in a position to discuss with you whether the problem/fault is covered by the warranty, and consequently the best course of action to be taken.

If your buggy requires repair (under warranty) please fill out (as much as you can) your WarrantyForm and return it to A.C.T i-motioncaddys

There are then several options available to you.

1/ The problem/fault may be one that can be solved over the telephone?

In which case our technician will talk you through the issues to a satisfactory conclusion.

If telephone advise fails we will move to option 2/3/4

2/ Part or parts can be sent out to you for “self fix”

The part or parts in question would be dispatched (FOC) with detailed instructions on how to fit/refit to a satisfactory conclusion.

Failed components must be returned to base for inspection and testing, prior to a replacement being sent.

3/ The buggy can be returned to A.C.T. UK. i-motioncaddy for inspection and testing, Buggy must be accompanied by the Warrantee Form.

An examination of the buggy will be carried out and the warranty work commenced (if covered)

When warranty work has been finalised your buggy will be returned FOC.

4/ An i-motioncaddys technician can visit site for inspection and testing.

If possible the warranty work will be carried out on site?

If not, the buggy will be bought back to base, where the warranty work will be carried out.

This option will incur a call out charge.

General

If your buggy should fail within 7 days of delivery, we will collect and re-deliver it back to you free of charge, if the problem cannot be resolved over the telephone.

Where a complete Buggy is returned for repair, the customer must allow up to 14 days (maximum) for its return.

If your buggy is returned to base for a warranty repair, a demo replacement buggy will be supplied until the warranty repairs are complete. (subject to availability)

By using this item, you understand and accept the terms of this Warranty.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN ADDITION TO THE CONSUMER STATUTORY RIGHTS AND DOES NOT AFFECT THOSE RIGHTS IN ANY WAY.
