Completedspecialized trainings to become “Feeding Specialist.”Completed all requiredreadings/videotapes in pediatric dysphagiaas well as began co-evaluations and co-treatment sessions. Completed all pre-requisites for Auditory Based Care (assessing/treating children with hearing impairment/cochlear implants). DMC-Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Macomb Rehabilitation Center,Detroit, MI -November 2007-February 2010-Part-timepediatric outpatient clinical SLP. Worked as part of multidisciplinary team (OT, PT) to provide rehabilitativeservices to pediatric population (birth-22). Provided assessment and treatment for a wide variety of disorders/delays (apraxia, aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia) and diagnosis (autism spectrum, CP, TBI, cleft palate, Down syndrome, cochlear implant,multiple syndrome disorders, seizure disorders). Member of the hospitals Craniofacial Team, in-training forVPI and Cochlear Implant teams.Provided comprehensive initial evaluations, pre-implant, and therapy after implantation. Providedtherapeutic services to a wide population (neonatal-adult) including dysphagia, feeding aversions, hearing impairment, cochlear implant (hospital regional cochlear implant center), autism spectrum, CP, dysarthria, aphasia, apraxia, TBI. Providedin-patient coverage as needed,including acute coverage from NICU to ICU. Provided in-service on Vital Stim to Communication Disorders Department and in-service to local Pediatrician’s office on roles of SLP. Wrote grant for hospital to purchase Fast ForWord learning products. Training to perform pediatric MBS’ independently.

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Lafayette, LA -July 2003- April 2006—Full-time outpatient SLP to pediatric through adult population including: Modified Barium Swallow tests, dysphagia (adult and pediatric),dysarthria, therapeutic listening, SI techniques, and cognitive therapy to a variety of clients at the hospital and MS clinic. Member of Professional Development Committee targeted implementing career ladder for ST/OT/PT and coordinating continuing education at hospital. Clinical supervisor for a staff CFY. April 2003-July 2003. Full-time PRN(Maternity Coverage)-Provided acute and inpatientrehab diagnostic and therapeutic services to primarily adult population in 288 bed hospital. Restorative services included: dysphagic, dysarthric, TBI, CA, trauma, and trach/vent patients.

Gay Hess Speech and Learning Center, Lafayette, LA August 2002 –March 2003—Full-time SLP.Rendered structured language based therapy to primarily school age/adolescent population. Center diagnosed dyslexia and other language based learning disabilities as well as providing therapy targeting: reading comprehension, written expression, phonemic awareness, and narrative discourse.

Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Greenville, SCJune 2001-August 2002—Full-time.Worked at Center for Developmental Services alongside PT and OT's providing multidisciplinary outpatient pediatric services to children, aged 0-19, with special needs including: cerebral palsy, autism, developmental delays, hearing impairment, blindness, CAPD, apraxia, as well as providing pragmatic language therapy at local girls home.
