Job Title:Health and WellbeingApprentice

Location:Crewe

Contract:Initial 12 month apprenticeship contract

Hours of Work:37 hours per week

Reporting to:Learning & Development (Academy) Manager &Health & Wellbeing Manager.

Job Purpose:To complete an Everybody Healthy and Wellbeingapprenticeship during which you will be given the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge, understanding and qualifications required to start a career in the leisure and health industry.

You will be based with our Everybody Healthand Wellbeing team to assist indelivering a high quality, customer focused service to our customers. You will work across the team in a number of roles, with a particular focus on motivating and helping people to improve their health in order to lead a healthier lifestyle, e.g. being more active, losing weight, improving mental wellbeing. You will raise awareness of specific lifestyle issues and assist in the design and implementation of health campaigns. You will be required to work across more than one site.

You will be given full training for both the key duties and those you may wish to develop as you progress. This training will also include work based assessments and competency tests assessed both internally and through recognised external providers.

Main Duties:

  1. Assist the Everybody Health and Wellbeing team in the planning, organisation and delivery of a wide range of programmes throughout the Cheshire East area. You will learn how to develop targeted programmes and embed monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  2. Provide trained assistance to customers to ensure that they use facilities and undertake appropriate activities and programmes, in a safe way according to Everybody procedures and practices.
  3. Assemble and dismantle equipment (including sports, exhibition displays, social events etc.) so that activities and events can take place safely. Ensure facilities are safe for use at all times.
  4. Promote and practice customer care, health & safety, data protection & contribute to improving standards, performance & efficiency by working to set standards.
  5. Understand Everybody policies and procedures including the importance of safeguarding, first aid, inclusion and working with vulnerable people within the sports & leisure setting.
  6. Communicate with customers in a variety of situations including face-to-face, telephone or e-mail including making and confirming bookings, recording monitoring and evaluation data.
  7. Support Everybody & Everybody Academy in promotional activities, events and initiatives
  8. In accordance with the Everybody Flexibility Policy the job holder will also undertake such work as may be determined by the management team from time to time, up to or at a level consistent with the responsibilities of the job
