BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION TRANSFER GUIDE

I. General Education Requirements for the Associate of Arts Degree:

  • English Composition I
  • You may have to take Basic Writing first
  • English Composition II
  • Public Speaking
  • 5 hour Science w/a lab
  • 3 to 5 hours additional science
  • One science must be a biological science and one must be a physical science
  • 9 hours of humanities
  • The classes must be selected from at least two different areas
  • Three hours must be a cultural diversity class
  • American Political Systems
  • American History I or American History II
  • General Psychology I
  • You may take any behavioral social science, but Psychology is strongly recommended
  • College Algebra
  • You may have to take Elementary and Intermediate Algebra first
  • Computer Course
  • Two P.E. activity credits

Total credit hours for the AA degree must equal 60 hours plus the two P.E. credits.

SEMO

  • SEMO recommends Micro Applications before transferring

UMC

  • Business Calculus
  • Accounting majors must take 6 hours of psychology or 6 hours of sociology
  • Accounting majors must take Introduction to Philosophy or Ethics as one of their humanities
