Purpose of Services / Provide high level services and high quality service delivery to support Shared Services Centre (SSC) operations in relation to delivering services to its clients. In particular to provide strategic direction and solution design for the midrange platforms (infrastructure architecture), predominantly Windows and some Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Provide input into a continual improvement process. Capable of providing high quality documentation for their work. It is desirable for the candidate to provide high quality support for one or more of the following platforms: RHEL platforms supporting SAS VA, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM or MS SQL.
Provide knowledge transfer in the areas of operation, advanced support and troubleshooting. Participate in and promote process improvement.

Limitation of liability – cap / For SMEs, the Department will consider a liability cap at either:
$ 5 million per occurrence, or
$ 10 million in the aggregate

$ 10 million per occurrence, or
$ 20 million in the aggregate

Security Clearance Requirements
The minimum security clearance level for this particular position is: Negative Vet 1
All positions are “Trusted” and the successful candidate is required to undertake police check to be conducted by the department. Unfavourable outcome may result to early termination of the contract. This check will be arranged by the Shared Services Centre on commencement of the contractor. The Australian Government will meet the cost of police check.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Important: All of the numbered criteria below must be addressed individually as part of your application

Essential Criteria:

1. RHEL System Architect with SOE development capability, or equivalent skills and experience.

2. One or more of Microsoft SQL and SSRS, Sharepoint, CRM infrastructure solution design and operation.

3. Strong skills with Microsoft core technologies of Server OS including Clustering and OS.

Desirable Criteria:

1. Ability to provide strategic advice

2. Strong communication skills.
