Meeting called to order at 7:37 PM by Brent Lindstrom

Treasurers Report: Heidi read the report. $13,846.27 in checking, $5,259.37 registration fees in Paypal, $10,000.00 in Savings Account, $2,380.00 in receivable registration fees, $31,485.64 total. Transferred $15000 from Paypal to checking and transferred some $4,298.47 to restore savings to $10,000. Left the $1,000 from Sanford in checking to pay for helmets. .04 interest, $1,700 to DPLL for team registration, $1,450 to Grand Rapids Area Lacrosse for 2016. Motion to approve by Miller, Second by Egeland, motion carried.

Lacrosse Booster Report (Heidi/Jake?)

-Helmets: (Lindstrom updated) Sanford was asked for $5,000, gave $1,000 (5 helmets). Asked Scheels for 15 helmets (approx. $3,000 value). Met with Marty McDonald on 21 Feb, found out 3 Mac, ordered 6 Mar.

-Go Fund Me Campaign. Closed at $125, check due this week for $114

-Contact last year’s sponsors: Letters sent, Sublime back with $300.

-Recruit new: Hu Hot reached out last year, Devils Lake hospital

-Shooter Shirt: 150-200 shirts @ $12 ea. Looking to get one sponsor for $2,500. Reaching out to Devils Lake hospital, Bobcat, ICON, Rydell, Choice Financial

-Try rewrite and try letter campaign again. Or narrow the list to some key targets and approach directly.

-Marketing committee/marketing plan and budget (transition this to Lacrosse Boosters?)

-$200 for Sept Kids Connection – DONE?

-Feb 17 Kids Connection reserved by Jake, 28 Oct 16.

-Booster Club building. Open it up and encourage to wider appeal?

Pizza Ranch (Terry): (9 March) (Heidi – Will market event on Facebook)

First Stick Report:

-Paul Edman has volunteered to be the Year 2 coach to undergo training

-Due to new age groups, US Lacrosse reclassified the U9 First Stick groups to 8U

-30 sets of gear in 2017/Equipment was ordered by USL in Jan, could arrive any day.

-All requirements are complete.

-End of Season Report due 1 July 2017

Facilities Report – New fields for 2017 (Jake) Anything to add from last month? (No updates)

2017 Calendar:

-Winter Clinic in Crookston – Jake/plans and scope (Shave will confirm dates/times)

-Regular season (Practice starts 3 April, first games 22 April. Tournament 9-11 June)

-Summer clinic/camp? (Shaver will research dates)

-Box Lacrosse? Look for new blood to run?

-Summer/Fall operations with Red River Valley?

OLD/ON-GOING BUSINESS

-2017 Schedules

-DPLL will develop league schedule (We have tentative schedule with locations)

-Home and home with Red River Valley? – Working on it, they are in favor

-High school non-league/tournament/Varsity idle 6-7 May due to Proms?

-Red River Prom 29 April, EGF Prom 29 April

-Grand Rapids NOT having a high school division this year.

-Youth non-league/tournament. Youth teams can still go to Grand Rapids

-2017 DPLL Fees:

-Varsity: $500 plus $680, $1,180

-16U: $475 plus $525, $1,000

-14U: $450 plus $450, $900

-12U: $425 plus $375, $800

-Issue check for $3,880 to DPLL for 2017 league fees. Additional teams will be additional fees. All fees due by 31 March 2017.

-Registered teams on-line and paid on-line. Game fees are due

-Jake is running 8U and 10U like he handled U9 last year. Anything from DuWayne and Scott?

-Lack of a dependable roster of officials in each town is a road block to producing schedules for the league.

-Need coaching help to get this off the ground. Have reached out to UND too. I’m gonna work with UND to try to make this happen.

-2018 Balls – NOCSAE has come out with a new compression spec that is effective June 2017 meaning all the balls we currently have should get us through the 2017 regular season but will not be compliant pretty much immediately after the season and beyond. The Pearl is the first certified ball and the “official” ball of US Lacrosse. $449/120 or $239/60, current ball prices are $160/120. Mint is $350 for case of 100, $149 for bucket of 36 $27.99 for 6Pk, $5 each
