Under 8: Congratulations to our under 8 team who played on the hallowed turf at Croke Park today 23rd August, an experience that some of us will never manage. Well done to all involved including their mentors. Thanks also to Barney O’Hare who contributed to the cost of the transport on the day, it is very much appreciated.
Bingo:Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 24th August at 8.00pm, jackpot €1,500 in 48 numbers.
Best Wishes: Congratulations and best wishes to O’Connell’s member Sinéad Ní Chiaráin (Cairns) who gets married to Jordan Barber from New Zealand on Saturday. Sinéad who now lives in Australia will marry in Kilsaran church and no doubt the chairman who is recovering well after illness will be the proudest man there. Good luck and all the best for the future to the happy couple from all at O’Connell’s GFC. Marriage resembles a pair of shears, so joined that they cannot be separated; often moving in opposite directions, yet always punishing anyone who comes between them.
