“Run, run, as fast as you can… You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man!”
We have been having so much fun with gingerbread! It all began with Jan Brett’s story, The Gingerbread Baby, and it continued with stories of the Gingerbread Man, The Gingerbread Girl and even Gingerbread Pirates
We mixed the ingredients… rolled out the dough… cut out gingerbread girls & boys…
decorated the gingerbread boys & girls… and we ate them! YUMMY, YUMMY GINGERBREAD A

- Making and selling cookies in the Bake Shop
- Repairing toys in Santa’s Workshop
- Gingerbread Fun
- Making the Christmas Counting Book
- Having Tea with the Gingerbread Baby
- Playing with the train set and traveling to the North Pole
Home/SchoolConnection:
Holiday Party: OnThursday, December 21st, we will be having a holiday party. Based on the story of the Polar Express we will be taking an imaginary train to the North Pole. We will enjoy the ride with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Our activity for the day will be decorating gingerbread trains with candies. A sign-up has been posted on our Parent Board for anyone who is able to help us with the candies as well as our snack for the party. Thank you in advance for your help and support in making this a fun-filled day for the children.
Portfolio’s & Parent / Teacher Conferences:Your child’s portfolio will be sent home on Thursday, December 21st. A parent/teacher conference schedule is now posted on our parent board for anyone who would like to meet to discuss the portfolio. The dates for the conferences are Monday, January 8th Tuesday, January 9th.

Holiday Break:ELCM is closed on Monday, December 25thTuesday, December 26th. ELCM is open for Extended Day December 27-29 and will be closed on Monday, January 1st, 2018.
