Proposed Agenda:

Meeting was called to order at 3:00pm. Draft minutes from last meeting were approved with one correction (T. Philpott is not Dr). No additional agenda items were raised.

Agenda Item 1: Online Learning

a)Product introduction and assessment for Zoom Video will be Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:00am in Rahall 317.

b)Quality Matters course started November 7, 2017. Works toward goals of compliance and consistency in teaching online courses. Concord University has 9 of the 20 available slots.

c)Spring 2018 course shells will be pushed out on 11/09/2017.

d)New template for all courses is being developed by Rick Browning. Course web continuing problems were discussed, including issues with passwords not being required for some and for others, they are having to complete a double log in. Templates will be available for Blackboard, Moodle, Quality Matters.

Agenda Item 2: Security Awareness Training

a)This training will begin on Monday, November 13, 2017. Email announcements will be sent out to faculty and staff on Friday, November 10, 2017; the links to complete the training and the evaluative tools will be included in the email. CU Employees also have the option of completing the Security Awareness Training by group video (in Rahall 317) on Wednesdays & Fridays at 10:00 am and 12:00pm.

b)The Concord University firewall needs to be replaced. This is being discussed with vendors and products being reviewed.

Agenda Item 3: Update on new Wi-Fi system. EDURoam is developed by EduCause. Please let Technology Services know if there are problems with WiFi.

Agenda Item 4: Update on selecting new antivirus security software: Symantec, Trend Micro, and Sophos are being reviewed. A recommendation for purchase will be made within the next week.
