Target Audience
This program has been designed for departmental/institutional faculty, community physicians, residents, medical students, other health sciences students, nurses, allied health professionals, QI/CEQI personnel, and administrators in the medical specialties of medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, radiology and pathology.
Session Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
- Enhance knowledge and treatment capabilities which will prevent the need for patient outmigration
- Increase skills of multidisciplinary team to develop a survivorship plans and improve continuity of care for cancer survivors
- Increase skills of oncology program team members in the practice of preventive medicine including the use of preventative reminders

- Review current evaluation and classification of spinal metastatic disease
- Use representative cases to illustrate evaluation/treatment options
- Review surgical innovations in the treatment of spinal metastatic disease
