Peter Katz FULL BAND Technical Rider

Winter/Spring 2015

Peter Katz live in concert requires a stereo, professional (non-proprietary) sound reinforcement system, with all components completely set-up, tested and in correct polarity with each other prior to the artists’ arrival. This system shall be in excellent working order, provide a flat frequency response, and be free of noise and distortion. The system must be adequately rated to provide even coverage and sound pressure level for the entire venue. Proper cabling must be supplied for all equipment listed below.

In some situations (festivals, installations), it is understood that substitutions of certain components and specifics may be unavoidable. Please ensure the artist and/or their production staff is consulted, and the overall requirements of this rider can be met.

House Console

Digital:Digico SD series (preferred), Digidesign/AVID Venue Series, Midas, Yamaha

Analogue: Midas XL, Heritage, Verona, or equivalent

●Minimum of 32 inputs, with 8 auxiliary sends and a stereo house mix; 4-band semi-parametric EQ or better required on input channels.

●Wherever possible, please ensure the FOH mix position is in the centre of the house and not under any balconies or canopies

●Must not be in an enclosed area (ie booth) of any kind

House Signal Processing (for analogue FOH consoles)

●2 channels of 31-band fully parametric EQ on house left-right

●4 channels of insertable noise gates

●6 channels of insertable compressors

●3 digital effects processors (2 Stereo Reverb, 1 Delay)

House Loudspeaker System

●3 or 4-way professional system (including subwoofers) in stereo, capable of supplying 105dBC SPL at the front-of-house mix position

●2 channels of 31-band fully parametric EQ on house left-right

●Meyer Sound is the preferred brand of loudspeaker manufacturer

●Professional brands such as L-Acoustics and D&B Audiotechnik are also acceptable

Stage Monitoring System

●Set-up and running prior to sound check

●5 wedges on 4 mixes, minimum 12-inch cone w/horn

●Each mix output must have one discrete channel of 31 Band Graphic EQ

●Amplifiers must be rated to cleanly drive the monitor system

Snake

●Minimum 24-channel send, 8-channel return snake of sufficient length to reach the front-of-house mix position from the stage

Peter Katz FULL BAND Hospitality Rider

Accommodations:

3 x double rooms located within a 15-minute drive (max) of the venue. Internet access at the hotel via either wireless connection or high speed is a priority.

Food:

Please provide 5 healthyhot meals (at least 1 must be VEGETARIAN with no fish or seafood, but egg and dairy are ok) or 5 x $20.00 buy-out to be paid to the artist upon arrival at the venue (MEAL BUY-OUT PREFERRED)

Dressing Room:

A lockable dressing room/warm up area with key to be presented to the artist or tour manager upon arrival to the venue. Dressing room should have a mirror and a power outlet.

Important Items:

•10 x bottles of room temperature water or a jug with glasses

•5 x towels

•Herbal Tea (Lemon or Mint preferred) with honey, cups and hot water

•5 oranges, 5 bananas, 1 bag of baby carrots

•Pita and Hummus

•12 x bottles of local beer or 12 x drink tickets

•1 bottle of red wine

•1 bottle of white wine

•1 x 9 volt Battery

•Package of Mint Gum
