ELECTRICAL

______2. Ensure that your extension cords or power strips are not coupled
______3. Ensure that no universal adapters are in use
______4. Power cords must be in good condition
______5. Plugs and wall outlets must be in good condition. Wall outlets must be

three wire and is properly installed
______6. Check for circuits that might be overloaded
______7. Household grade appliances should not be in use
______8. Ensure that wires or cords are not stepped on, under carpets or under any
objects
______9. Are electric heaters inspected on a regular basis and meet SFM

requirements?
______10. Ensure that no radios, personal lamps etc has been modified and all must

be in good condition
______11. Electrical panel/circuit breaker boxes must have a 30” free space across

the face of the panel
______12. Extension cords are to be used only for temporary power and not on

vendingmachines, coffee maker, refrigerators and microwave
CABINETS AND SHELVES

______3. Have you checked if there are no exposed sharp corners?
______4. Are objects placed on shelves easily accessible?
______5. Is there a safe step stool for a safe access to top shelves?
______6. Are file cabinet drawers equipped with latch?
______7. Are vertical file cabinets equipped with safety lock?
______8. Ensure that file drawers won’t open into traffic flow
______9. Have you checked for possible overloaded drawers and unbalanced

loading?
