Nokia – 3gpp Members are planning to create a WI in April for Unicast communications and UE to NW Relay for commercial applications.

CEWIT - We have headstart on this SI. We have overlap with 3gpp. Can we take this to 3gpp or what is the course of action?

IITH - Is it going to be rel-14 item or 15+ item? As per the recent 3gpp meeting very few new WI will be created for rel-14. This is still a proposal in front of RAN. D2D will probably evolve as part of 5G. An aggregator for IoT using D2D link was proposed by QC at RAN.

CEWIT - An aggregator is essentially collecting device that collects data from IoT devices

IITH – there are 3 types of Relay: D2D Relay, Relay Node, Aggregator Relay

Nokia - We continue contributions at TSDSI. We don’t duplicate our work.

u.  IMC-Need to liaise with SG2WG1 with these requirements

v.  IMC-Solicit L1 and L2 requirements from all SG/WG groups through SG1

w.  Chair- These contents will be added in SI report and sent to Champion. IITH has to add their contents and then revert with updated SI report so that Chair can upload on the website.

x.  IMC-We would want to insert these content after the liaison

y.  Chair-Requirements are part of SWIPs submitted against SI/WI and therefore they must go within the SI/WI report at the end of the meeting as part of meeting report.

z.  Airtel- I agree with IMC

aa.  Chair – TSDSI should start specification development. All SGs should work on the same specification document like in IEEE, ITU, etc. There should be a mother document and different groups bring amendments (e.g. IEEE 802.1Qbf) to a particular specification document (e.g. IEEE 802.1Q) and champion of the mother document (Chair of IEEE 802.1) will take care of harmonization. This will automatically enable people to track progress in all groups. For example, to start with we start with empty or blank requirement document, architecture document, etc. Each SG will bring the initial amendments to this blank requirement document and architecture. These requirements will be harmonized by the Chair/Champion of that document. These initial amendments should be at SG level and harmonized at joint SG level. As usual ultimate ownership lies with the Secretariat.
