I have spoken to the Supervisor at CLL (Continental Landscapes Ltd – our Contractors) and he informs me the general maintenance of the Park is on schedule, the grass cutting is done and the shrubs are due a cut any day now. Awhile ago I had the (Bergenia) planting ‘bulked-up’ at the Palmerston Rd entrance and tidied again a couple of days ago. Two to three dozen Mahonia shrubs were planted at the Alexandra Rd entrance late last year. Several cracked and subsiding paths have been repaired in the last year. However, issues such as litter, litterbin emptying, path sweeping and the maintenance of the public toilets are the responsibility of ECPS. The lodge house comes within the remit of Property Services. I hope this helps to answer your enquiry.

E&CPS are responsible for the provision and cleansing of public conveniences at the park and the general cleansing (mechanical sweeping, manual litter picking, litter bin emptying, graffiti removal, sharps collection etc).
- The public conveniences are visited 4 x per day/cleansed twice daily. E&CPS are responsible the internal maintenance of the toilets, external maintenance is a split responsibility between E&CPS and Property Services.
- Cleansing services for the park are scheduled for a minimum of twice weekly. This is enhanced during school holiday periods and in response to special circumstance e.g. the current issue with vagrants.

The lodge, along with others, is currently subject of a review which is complicated because of the issues to be dealt with. No decision has been made regarding the long term future of this lodge at this time.
