Description:
John Spence is a popular and successful school with Specialist Sports College status. We are an “Outstanding” school (Ofsted 2011), serving students from the North Shields area of North Tyneside.
We have an exciting opportunity for a creative, hardworking professional to join our highly effective Special Support Assistant team. The successful candidate may have experience of working with children in the 11-16 age range but this is not essential. They will have high expectations when supporting teaching and learning throughout the school. NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent is essential however, degree level qualification is desirable.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team based within the Inclusion Department, working with students who exhibit the full range of Special Educational Needs. The successful candidate will work across a range of subject areas, and will have an allocation of cover supervision.
