Nottingham City SACRE Development Plan 07/08
Background
The objectives of the SACRE at this stage are to focus on ways of providing more proactive leadership to schools and the local authority, so as to move beyond the basic fulfilment of their statutory obligations.
Primary Objective:
To move SACRE from a stage of ‘developing’ to ‘established’ (as defined by the Ofsted Self Evaluation guidance) by December 07.
Identified Priorities for Development:
- Reviewing and extending the membership of the SACRE
- Creating stronger links with RE teachers in local schools
- Developing a new locally agreed syllabus
- Increasing the knowledge base of the SACRE
The following development plan is built around the 5 key SACRE objectives as defined within the Ofsted Self Evaluation document (2005).
