PASTOR’S NOTES:
Winter will hopefully leave like a lamb this March, but we’re praying that Springat Grace Baptist Church is going to roar in like a Lion. We have so many different opportunities to glorify God this month that there isn’t enough room to tell you all about them here, so please visit our website for more details and keep an eye on your bulletins. But I do want to mention at least a few of these exceptional opportunities: Missions Week of Prayer…Puppetfest …Missions Weekend…and the PCHS Praise Team.
Beginning on March 2nd, we will be joining millions of other Southern Baptists around the country in praying for our nation’s lost and the missionaries God has called to reach to them. There will be an insert in Sunday’s bulletin that will help guide us all in ways to petition our Lord in this honoring kingdom work.
The following week, March 9th at 3pm, we will be hosting our annual Puppetfest here at the church. It is an excellent opportunity to invite friends, neighbors, and family for a fun afternoon that will also expose them to the Gospel of Christ Jesus.
The weekend of the 22nd is going to be a special Missions Weekend here at Grace. We will have a Missions Fundraising Dinner & Movie Saturday Night starting at 5:30pm, with both a movie for adults in the Sanctuary and a video upstairs in the Youth Room for the younger attendees. Then on Sunday we will be having a special presentation at both the Sunday School hour and during our 11:00am service by Joe Dillon from the IMB.
And then on Sunday March 30th, we will have the blessing of the PCHS Praisean Worship Team starting at 6pm. So, mark your calendars and prepare for Spring at Grace Baptist Church

Deuteronomy 15:11Forthe poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’ Therefore, the Second Sunday of the month is a time we set aside to contribute to our local food pantry. Let us give generously to help feed the less fortunate in our community on March 9th.

We are preparing again for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. The Week of Prayer for missions and missionaries within the United States will be March 2-9th.

Please join us for Puppetfest here at Grace Baptist Church on March 9that 3pm. Please spread the word. It will be a fun and enjoyable time of with music and laughter for those of all ages.

State/National Missions Group will meet directly after church on March 16th in the Youth Room for a short meeting. Anyone who is interested in State/National Missions please attend.

We will be having dinner and a movie on Saturday March 22th as a fundraiser to support those who are going on our Mission Trip to Honduras in June. In the Sanctuary we will be watching End of the Spear and in the Youth Room we be viewing Miracle Maker.

An 8-week Spring Ladies Book Study will begin the last full week in March. Come either Tuesdaymornings at 9:30 amor Thursdayevenings at 6:30 pm (same lesson). We will be reading and discussing “Respectable Sins: Confronting the Sins We Tolerate,” by Jerry Bridges. The book and study guide will be provided by the church, but you may make a donation, if you wish, to help defray costs. Please, see Pam Elkins for information and materials.

Be sure to mark your calendars because we are pleased to have the PCHS Praise Team with us for a night of Worship on March 30that 6pm here at Grace Baptist.

Grace Baptist Church is going to have its first officially sponsored International Missions Trip in June of 2014. A team will be traveling to Honduras for 9 days to minister to 3 orphanages in the name of Christ. The dates are tentatively June 24th-July 2nd… see our website for details!

Springs of Life Camp needs 1000oz of Mixed Vegetables, 1000oz of Cream of Chicken Soup, and 5 gallons of Disinfectant for another season of Summer Camp. Please help collect these items before June 9th.

In our infant nursery, the volunteer must be 16 years of age or older. Note: Infant & Toddler Nursery is for infants & children up to 4 years of age. Older children can attendChildren’s Churchor Regular Servicesin the sanctuary with a parent or guardian.
Volunteers are needed to help with AWANA devotions. Giving a small devotion to the AWANA kids can have a big impact for God’s kingdom. Please contact Lena Howell for more information.
