Water is precious and we should take care of it.

Have you ever complained about how plain or useless water is? Well, try to stay home without using any water. It may not be evident, but water is one of the major necessities in our daily lives, which is why we should take good care of it.

Firstly, water is a nutritious liquid that our body needs to survive. Over half of our bodies are made up of water. We must drink at least a litre of water a day to stay healthy, and although you may think we are able to drink soft drinks and juices, all of these still contain water.

Furthermore, water is used greatly within the household. In an everyday house, water is used for cooking, washing, cleaning, drinking, in the toilet, gardening and many other important things. Plants and animals also use water in the same way – for habitats, hygiene and nutrition.

We can see so far that clearly, water is essential for our day-to-day lives, but every day, water is overused and treated like there is an endless supply. Unfortunately, this is not so and we must look in to the future, and see that if water gets wasted like this continuously, one day there will be none left.

In addition, water is used frequently in small and large businesses. Billions of litres of water are dedicated to services like swimming pools and spas. However, water is also largely used in other businesses, like restaurants, supermarkets, etc.

In conclusion, water is extremely precious and must be protected. It would be devastating if water were to stop coming. It may not occur to us now, but water is slowly disappearing. We should care for water, because at the end, we are the only ones benefited from it.
