Sub : - Complaint against TV9 Kannada, TV9 Telugu, Aaj Tak, Suvarna News 24x7, Star News, Janasri, NDTV, Samaya, Udaya Varthegalu, Kasturi, Sakshi TV, TV5, NTV, ETV2, Sahara Samay, NDTV Hindi, Deccan Herald, Vijaya Karnataka, Kannada Prabha, Udayavani, Sakshi newspaper.
- Regarding offences under Sec. 295A of the IPC
I would like to state the following facts for your kind consideration and appropriate action:-
1. I, A.C. Narendran, the Complainant am a devotee of Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
2. I submit that, I have attended meditation programs conducted by Paramahamsa Nithyananda at the Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam Ashram situated in Bidadi, Ramanagara District, Karnataka State and have had very deep life transforming spiritual experiences, which have always led me towards more clarity, health, mental peace and well-being. I have also been initiated into the kundalini awakening meditation by Sri. Nithyananda Swamy. Sri. Nithyananda Swamy is on a mission to revive the truths of the ancient Hindu vedic tradition and has taken up scientific research studies on these great truths in order to bridge the gap between science and spirituality.
3. As a part of the sacred Guru Poornima celebrations at Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam Ashram on July 15th 2011, a live scientific recording of ‘Activation of the certain parts of the human brain through the ancient spiritual technique of Kundalini Awakening and Levitation’ (anti-gravity) through initiation by Paramahamsa Nithyananda was organised. Following the demonstration, Paramahamsa Nithyananda answered the queries from the press.
4. I submit that, the reports from print media and TV channels relating to the above program have extremely hurt my religious sentiments. With no attempt to understand or verify the spiritual and scientific research, they have outrightly misrepresented it as a ‘con, comedy and repulsive show’ to the readers and viewers with especially blatant sexual implications attached to the levitation movements of the innocent devotees and spiritual seekers who had gathered from all over the world on the auspicious and holy day of Guru Purnima.
5. The captured footage was telecast / published with maliciously cut and mixed sections, showing pictures and videos of only the levitating WOMEN devotees and that too through deliberately placed perverted camera angles with focus on the women’s chest and hip alongwith cheap background music with double meaning lyrics. This was accompanied by derogatory vocal commentaries, several panel discussions with people who just outrightly abused the program without even caring to know or visit or experience the program.
6. Further, the reports also concluded that Sri Nithyananda Swami is cheating people.
7. I wish to submit that through this completely abusive and malicious reporting, the great Hindu tradition of kundalini awakening and levitation established by the great Saints like Sage Patanjali in his Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Mahavtar Babaji, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and the entire lineage of Yogis, Rishis and enlightened masters has been thoroughly defamed thus hurting my religious sentiments to the core.
8. As a spiritual seeker and staunch follower of the Hindu vedic tradition, I am very deeply hurt that these sacred truths and spiritual experiences are being twisted and portrayed in such a degrading light. The media reports have hurt the faith of not only me but millions of people around the world. I wish to state here that the devotees whose pictures were portrayed in the media are all highly qualified individuals with degrees and doctorates from renowned International universities. They are doctors, engineers, scientists and researchers by profession.
9. I wish to submit that this program was aired live to viewers in 30 countries through eNTV - the official web TV of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam (www.nithyananda.org/en-tv). It is extremely disappointing that such a sacred effort to bridge the gap between spirituality and science with such an intensity has been misrepresented in such a derogatory manner.
10. I wish to submit that through such false and perverted reporting, all the said media are preventing people from becoming physically healed, mentally balanced and spiritually evolving. Thousands of people have testified that they have come out of drugs, alcohol and other addictions through Sri Nithyananda Swamy’s initiation and techniques.
11. Further, I wish to submit that Sri Nithyananda Swamy’s mission itself is aimed at leading people to health, peace, transformation and global peace through such profound spiritual teachings and techniques.

articles published in newspapers with regard the above subject

iv. Copies of newspapers of the derogatory reports (Annexure E)
Therefore, for the reasons stated above, I request your kind offices to take appropriate and stern action against the management, officials and employees of the said media under the relevant provisions of law for hurting my religious sentiments, for indecent representation of women and all other relevant provisions of law that have been violated by the persons above referred.
