An open call for community activists and artists!

The intention is to work with organisations to establish a new way of working together. Participants will also commit to a follow—up by delivering and critiquing progress of the new platform. The week-long self-managed process will be facilitated by artway of thinking, a Venetian arts collective led by Federica Thiene and Stefania Mantovani. Niall Crowley will act as an advisor giving inputs on equality and rights.

We now seek to identify activists and artists from community and statutory organisations working in the field of family, community and culture. This may include community workers and artists, local authority arts offices and centres, cultural institutions and other development organisations.

The participants will be able to:
-Gather and orient leading activists/artists at organisation level committed to re-forming a vision for community art;
-Interrogate how cultural rights can generate new energies and effect transformation in communities;
-Confront blockages to do with re-imagining and sustaining connections;
-Exchange strategies whereby culture contributes tactics that challenge stark inequalities;
-Self-manage a set of actions focused on a 20:20 vision.
